Ok. It is in the teens up in Park City. I have posted my disdain for that kind of weather on my Facebook page and packed the big suitcase full of sweaters. I think I may be ready to go.
I have heard it is going to be a nightmare, at least everyone is preparing for the worst. Word is that the lack of original content, due to the writer's strike, is going to mean a frenzy of buying. This would set it apart from the past few festivals which have been mostly wait and see.
I am excited about the Derek Jarman documentary Derek, and also Pageant—a Slamdance film about a drag pageant that apparently features Hot Chocolate, best known for working the door at Krave and now Piranaah in Las Vegas. I am excited about Chefdance—a multi night dinner extravaganza where various celebrity chefs preparing elaborate meals. I am excited about a lot of things, but I am not, I repeat not excited about being in weather under 20 degrees.
